Reports says that popular comedian and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Aderombi Adedayo Martins, popularly known as DeeOne, has emerged as the Lagos State House of Assembly candidate for Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I ahead of the 2027 general election.

DeeOne secured the ticket for the BOOT Party after winning the party’s primary election.

The comedian announced his emergence in a post on his Instagram page on Wednesday night, expressing gratitude to party members for entrusting him with the ticket.

He also pledged to serve the people of Ibeju-Lekki if elected in 2027.

“I want to thank my party, BOOT Party, for the confidence in voting for me to emerge the winner of the primary election for Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I,” he wrote.

Addressing residents of the constituency, DeeOne promised a leadership style focused on service rather than power.

“To Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I, come 2027, by the grace of God, I will be your worker and not your boss,” he said.
