Rite Foods Limited, Nigeria’s leading food and beverage company, joins the global community in commemorating International Men’s Day (IMD) 2025 by recognizing the contributions, achievements, and positive impact of men in society. The day also draws attention to issues affecting men, including health, well-being and work-life balance.

This year’s theme, “Celebrating Men and Boys”, aligns with Rite Foods’ commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment where everyone, regardless of gender, can thrive. The company recognizes the vital role men play as fathers, leaders, colleagues, mentors and change makers, and is using the occasion to spotlight their contributions within and beyond the workplace.

Speaking on the significance of the day, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Rite Foods Limited, Mr. Seleem Adegunwa, acknowledged the importance of balance and wellbeing for men in today’s fast paced world. “As we celebrate International Men’s Day, we honour the resilience, hard work and positive influence of men across our workforce and the communities we serve,” he said. “Rite Foods is proud to champion a culture where men feel seen, supported and empowered to lead healthy, meaningful lives.”

He further highlighted that men, both within the organisation and across the country, play pivotal roles as leaders, innovators, and contributors to family and community development, attributes the company seeks to continually support and celebrate.

Also commenting, the Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Ekuma Eze, noted that the company deeply values the dedication and hard work of its male employees, whose efforts continue to shape the organization’s growth story. He emphasized that the company promotes an environment where collaboration, shared learning, and teamwork enable employees to thrive and contribute meaningfully to corporate and societal progress.

Rite Foods remains committed to energizing and refreshing its consumers, including the menfolk, with its expanding portfolio of quality brands. These include the 13 variants of Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, Bigi Table Water, the award-winning Sosa Fruit Drink, Fearless Energy Drink, and its range of delicious Bigi Flex, Rite, and Bigi Beef Sausages.

Rite Foods’ commitment to excellence has again been reinforced through recent recognitions, including three honours at the 2025 Edge Awards: Outstanding Carbonated Soft Drink Brand of the Year – Bigi Apple; Outstanding Sausage Brand of the Decade – Bigi Beef Sausage Roll and Outstanding FMCG Corporate Brand of the Year – Rite Foods Limited.

The company was also named Food Company of the Year 2024 at the prestigious Independent Awards, a testament to its sustained leadership, innovation, and firm focus on consumer satisfaction.

Through its people, products, and purpose-driven initiatives, Rite Foods continues to champion excellence while contributing to a healthier, more progressive society.
