The organisers of the annual MediaConsortium Conference and Awards (MCCA) have officially announced that the President of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), Dr Bolajoko Bayo-Ajayi and Yinka Opadere, Head of Digital at Globacom Nigeria will lead the discussion at the highly anticipated 2026 edition.

While Dr. Bolajoko will deliver the keynote address, Yinka Opadere is the Guest speaker.

The 4th iteration of the landmark industry event is scheduled to take place on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the prestigious Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), located in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos. The event is set to commence promptly at 10:00 AM.

Building on the immense success of the 2025 edition, this year’s conference centers around a critical and timely theme: “The Value Shift: Strategies for the New Market Reality in the Age of the Empowered Consumer.”

As digital transformation, economic shifts, and unprecedented access to information redefine the modern marketplace, the traditional dynamics between brands and buyers have fundamentally changed. Today’s consumers are more informed, demanding, and selective than ever before.

The 2026 MCCA will delve deep into how businesses can pivot their strategies to remain relevant, resilient, and customer-centric in this fast-evolving landscape.

The choice of the NIMN President as the keynote speaker and Opadere who heads the digital unit at Glo as guest speaker underscore the event’s commitment to delivering top-tier, authoritative insights. As the leader of Nigeria’s apex regulatory body for marketing professionals, Dr. Bolajoko alongside Opadere bring wealth of experience, strategic foresight, and a profound understanding of both local and global market dynamics to the podium.

Their papers will be dissected in a panel discussion by a line up of seasoned professionals to drive home the conversation.

Among those who have confirmed their participation are, Adewole Lawal, Group Sustainability Lead at EverCorp and Okey Umurhowho, Marketing Director at StarTimes.

Organised annually by MediaConsortium, a leading marketing, brands, and business publication, the MCCA has established itself as a premier thought-leadership platform. The 2026 conference is designed as a high-level gathering that will bring together a diverse ecosystem of stakeholders, including; Business Leaders & Corporate Executives seeking growth blueprints.
Marketing Professionals & Brand Strategists looking to refine consumer engagement, Media Practitioners & Policymakers shaping the industry’s narrative and regulatory framework,
Entrepreneurs & Tech Innovators driving disruptive market solutions, Students and Aspiring Professionals eager to learn from industry titans.

“The business environment is changing at a breakneck pace, and the consumer is firmly in the driver’s seat,” said organisers. “We are excited to have the NIMN President lead the conversation this year. Attendees can expect actionable, high-impact strategies from a stellar lineup of seasoned Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) professionals who understand how to navigate this new market reality.”

Beyond the rigorous intellectual discourse, the event will also host the celebrated MediaConsortium Awards. The awards segment aims to recognize, celebrate, and honor outstanding organizations and individuals who are actively redefining value creation. Exceptional contributions to customer engagement, corporate innovation, brand resilience, and market relevance will be spotlighted during the ceremony.

With a meticulously curated roster of panels, masterclasses, and networking sessions, the 2026 MCCA promises to be an invaluable hub for knowledge sharing and strategic partnerships.
