AI in Marketing: BJAN conference to explore opportunities, challenges in Nigerian

Artificial Intelligence AI and Marketing Workflow: Opportunities and Challenges will top the discussion at the Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN) annual conference on 28th, November this year.

The conference hold at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, is aimed at facilitating engagement among stakeholders in the brands, Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC), and related sectors.

According to the BJAN chairman, Mr. Daniel Obi, Guest speakers at the conference include Cherry Eromosele, Executive Vice President of Group Marketing & Corporate Communications at Interswitch Group, and Folajimi Daodu, CEO of Vault Hills.

Lekan Fadolapo, Director-General of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), will speak on “AI and Advertising Regulation in the Digital Age: Challenges and Opportunities.

He said a panel session featuring eminent personalities on AI will dissect the topic.

Mr Obi added that the topic has become crucial in view of how AI is shaping how work is done across industries, sparking both excitement and concern.

The conference will be chaired by Group Chief Executive Officer, SO&U, Mr. Udeme Ufot, while other personalities in both the advertising, Telecom and banking industries will be in attendance.

BJAN chairman further said that the “conference will gather stakeholders, business leaders, consumers, and journalists to explore the benefits of AI in marketing, to create a balance as the world grapples with this new trend.

According to him, AI is no longer a futuristic concept, but a present reality shaping industries and economies. He said for industry operators across sectors, including public and private sectors and academia, attending the conference is not just an option but a necessity.

He said it will offer operators the opportunity to learn how to stay ahead, learn practical insights from the speakers, build capacity, address ethical issues on AI and offer networking opportunities.
