Renowned entrepreneur educationist, Yomi Otubela, announced as Chairman of The Industry Newspaper’s Top 50 Nigerian Companies of Impact

The Industry Newspaper, Nigeria’s premier publication on marketing, media, and the business economy, is pleased to announce Chief Yomi Otubela to as Chairman of the 2026 edition of its flagship special project, “Top 50 Nigerian Companies of Impact.”

The annual recognition celebrates Nigerian companies that are driving resilience, innovation, job creation, and national development across key sectors of the economy. The 2026 edition, themed “Building Resilience, Driving Growth: Nigerian Companies Shaping the Next Decade,”will be unveiled at a special awards and networking luncheon on Friday, August 21, 2026 at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos*.

Chief Otubela brings decades of distinguished leadership as an entrepreneur and educationist of note. He is the *President, National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, NAPPS*, and the *Founder/CEO of Lagooz Schools*, one of Nigeria’s leading educational institutions known for academic excellence, innovation in learning, and youth development. Under his stewardship, Lagooz Schools has set benchmarks in curriculum delivery, technology integration, and talent grooming, impacting thousands of Nigerian students.

As an entrepreneur, Chief Otubela has championed private sector participation in education and has been a strong advocate for policies that enable businesses to thrive while contributing to nation-building. His voice has shaped conversations on skills development, human capital investment, and the role of SMEs and large enterprises in Nigeria’s economic future.

In his role as Chairman of the 2026 Top 50, Chief Otubela will provide strategic guidance for the selection process, deliver the Chairman’s Address at the event, and lead conversations on how Nigerian companies can deepen impact through innovation, governance, and social responsibility.
